Applying for the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation involves a minimal fee of $375 to cover the cost of processing, reviewing, and validating candidate information. Applicants who already have the Chief EMS Officer (CEMSO), Chief Training Officer (CTO) or Fire Marshal (FM) designation pay a reduced fee of $325. The CFO designation is valid for three years, with a renewal fee of $325.
