Our good friend and CFAI Commissioner Frank Florence passed away Tuesday night.  Frank was the Consensus Standards Representative and was approaching his eighth year as a CFAI Commissioner.  Frank was a man we could depend upon; he never missed a meeting or teleconference.  He was typically a quiet and reserved man but never hesitated to show his support to agencies receiving accredited agency status by being the first to make a motion of approval.  Frank was approaching his twelfth anniversary as a Senior Fire Service Specialist with NFPA and had touched the lives of hundreds of people over those years.  Prior to joining NFPA, he was a member of the Salt Lake City, Utah Fire Department, serving with honor and retiring as Fire Chief.  Arrangements have not been released as of yet.

We will certainly miss our friend and colleague.
